Mrs. Uppena's class was lucky to win Earth Day t-shirts for our class and $100 to be used towards an Earth Day project from the Danielle Cline Group in Galena. We decorated flower pots and got to go out to the greenhouse and have some FFA girls help us plant them! Happy Earth Day! Thank you, Danielle Cline Group Realty!

At Monday's board meeting, the two winners of the Spring Election were sworn in as School Board Members - including current board member Ben Gavinski, and new board member Connie Haberkorn. A special thank you to long-time board member Missy Kliebenstein for her many years of service to the Board, the community, staff & students.


Just a reminder that our next three Wednesday will be "normal" early release day with a 1:30pm dismissal. But starting on Wednesday, May 10th, we will have full days with 3:30pm dismissal times to meet DPI requirements due to snow days and late starts.

Schedule updates for today, April 18th: The middle school track meet will start at 4pm. Also, the JV Baseball game has been canceled.

Several of our students were recognized by the local VFW Post 5276 for winning the Voice of Democracy audioessay and Patriot's Pen essay contests. These students shared their writing at the Veteran's Day program and were recently awarded certificates and scholarships by District 3 Commander and local Quartermaster Carla McAndrew, along with local post commander Lester Jantzen and veterans Steve Pluemer, Bill Hohmann, Roger Udelhoven, Steve Post, and Billy Funk. Marah Vogelsberg and Wynne Siegert were local Voice of Democracy winners, with Marah placing 2nd at District 3. Maddy Decker and Brennan Meier were Patriot's Pen winners, with Maddy placing 2nd at District 3.
