Bill Uppena shared slides from his time in military service with the Army while stationed near Tokyo with the 6th grade Social Studies class to help wrap up their studies on Middle Ages Japan. It is enlightening for the students to see the cultural, geographical, and historical sites and items that they study about in the textbook. Thank you, Bill!

Wynne Siegert, 5th from right, represented Potosi High School by speaking at the Platteville Optimist Club Oratorical Contest on March 6th. Thirteen area students spoke on "Discovering the Optimism In Me". Wynne's speech included her experience at the Wisconsin Leadership Seminar (WILS) last summer, among other topics. Optimist International has sponsored this speaking contest since 1928 to help youth gain experience in public speaking, perfect self-expression, gain self-assurance, and improve communication skills while competing for college scholarships.

A few reminders about Thursday's Boys' Sectional Semi-Final game at Prairie du Chien: Tickets will be pre-sold at the high school office, Mon-Wed, 10-3:30. Cost is $7. The game will be broadcast on 97.7FM WGLR and Queen B Radio will also broadcast on their YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@queenbradiosports/streams And lastly, signs, banners and noisemakers are prohibited.
