Potosi's Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) teamed up with local law enforcement, Fire & EMS to demonstrate a mock accident due to distracted driving. A big thanks to all those that participated and described what the consequences can be.

Two more weeks of "normal" Wednesday early release days with a 1:30pm dismissal. But starting on Wednesday, May 10th, we will have full days with 3:30pm dismissal times to meet DPI requirements due to snow days and late starts.

The Potosi Environmental Club recently took a field trip to the Mines of Spain in Dubuque, IA, where we had the opportunity to help maintain some trails, learn a few things about invasive species from Jason Gilmore, and do some hiking. It was great seeing our students do some community service and enjoy the outdoors!
After lunch, we then went over to the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium, where Andy Allison gave us a tour of the conservation area. Students learned about how the Mississippi River,and all rivers, oceans, and waters are interconnected. What we do here has impacts in places all over the world. Great times and great life lessons being had by these young people!
We highly recommend visiting both the Mines of Spain and the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium.
