Dear Elementary Parents,
Just a reminder, if you haven't already seen this.....As our Elementary class sizes have grown, it has become increasingly more difficult to house all of our Elementary student's families at our school concerts let alone have ample safe parking in our lot. That being said, we are going to change things up this year, at the elementary Christmas concert in an attempt to help ease the crowd numbers in the auditorium and the school parking lot.
This year on Monday, December 9th, Kindergarten through 2nd graders will have their concert at 1:30. Then the 3rd - 5th graders will have their concert at 2:30. Each concert will last about 20-30 minutes. Parents that want to leave after the first concert will have time to do so, while also freeing up parking spots for the next concert. Those parents that want or need to stay for both concerts are of course welcome to do so. Both concerts will be recorded and live streamed into the classrooms so students are able to watch the concert when they are not performing.
As always, parents are invited to take their children home after the concert. You will need to pick up your child or children in their classrooms.
It's time to get into the Christmas Spirit! Check out our upcoming concerts in December!

Tuesday afternoon, students in grades 1st-3rd listened and learned from local artist, Mr. Karl Williams. He shared his oil paintings with us, talking about the process and time that goes into each piece. Mr. Williams even brought students up on stage to practice their observational drawing skills, giving tips to students along the way. He left us with a couple tips to help us in our own art journey:
1. Make art for yourself, not to please other people.
2. Draw every day. You can’t get better if you don’t practice.
3. Think of mistakes as a way to make your artwork uniquely yours
Thank you Mr. Williams for sharing your time and talent with us! #PotosiPride

This message is to inform everyone about a unique opportunity for our boys basketball team and our fans. The HS boys basketball team will be playing Belmont at Fiserv Forum, in Milwaukee, on Friday, December 6th at 10:45 am. Our Pep band will be playing as well.
There are a couple of things with this game. The main thing is we need to sell $3000.00 worth of Bucks tickets (roughly (40 tickets) or pay the difference equal to $3000.00 in cash. Belmont has been selling for a while, but the Bucks game they selected to buy tickets for is on November 23rd, so they needed to get going with their Bucks ticket sales. Our selected Bucks game is Saturday, January 4th vs the Portland Trailblazers. Our deadline for selling our tickets is next Friday, November 29th, so don't delay your purchase. Please see the attached information flyer on the game and directions on purchasing Bucks tickets...
There are two options to attend our game at Fiserv Forum vs Belmont:
1) Buy a Bucks ticket and get into our game for free.
2) Buy a ticket for $5.00 (donations accepted) from the HS office at school.
We are offering a fan bus as well. The cost to ride the fan bus is $10.00 - $5.00 for the bus and $5.00 for the ticket. If you buy a Bucks ticket and still want to ride the fan bus let Mr. Uppena know. More info to follow on the fan bus...
The $5.00 tickets are on sale today The Bucks tickets can be purchased immediately.
To purchase Bucks tickets and to read more about the game, please see the attached flyer. Click here to view the flyer.
The school will not provide transportation to the Bucks game on January 4th.
Parents, if your child is not a Varsity member of the Boys’ Basketball Team or a member of the Pep Band, please contact your child's school office to excuse them from school on Friday, December 6th, 2024. School will be in session as this is still a regular season basketball game. All students attending the games are responsible for any missing work or assignments.
This game will be live-streamed.
Have a great day!
