This year, our 5th grade class is penpals with 5th grade Choose Love Youth Ambassadors who attend Goshen Intermediate School in Goshen New York. They were excited to receive their first letters back from their pen pals and eagerly wrote back to learn more about them, what it's like living in New York, and what Choose Love activities look like in their school. #ChooseLove

Potosi Elementary focuses on a different character trait each month. January's trait was SELF-DISCIPLINE. These students showed exceptional character in school and therefore were treated to pizza with Mr. Uppena! Congratulations to all the winners!

FOUND! On The 100th day, we learned that 100 of our Choose Love ducks had escaped from our Duck Pond…and were missing! After searching all day long, our students found all 100 ducks and returned them safely to the duck pond. We are grateful for our first 100 days of school, and excited about all we can learn before the end of the year! #ChooseLove #PotosiPride

It was an amazing day...so amazing that we'll have 2 posts today to remember the experience.

Throwback Thursday Post #2- Catfish Festival Edition Have you ever wondered about the story behind the LOVE letters that are next to Keith Livens Auditorium? Their debut was at the Catfish Festival in 2022. They were created by students in our tech department, designed and painted by students in our art department, and now are on Choose Love postcards that are circulating the WORLD! It truly takes a community.

February is Choose Love Awareness Month! The theme of the first week is COURAGE. We will celebrate having the COURAGE to be bold, and be ourselves by having dress up days. Our dress up day for Friday is FEELIN' FRIDAY- Wear the comfiest outfit you have. #ChooseLove
