The Potosi School District Library recently received a collection of books that were purchased in honor of former district library media specialist Jan Baker. Jan was Potosi's LMS from 2013 to November 2024, when she unexpectedly passed away. A donation from Jan's family was made to the library, so library director Amy Siegert purchased Wisconsin history books to honor her memory and Jan's many years of assisting Potosi Middle and High School students with their National History Day project research. Mr. Jamie Pierce and Mr. Jayden Stietz made a plaque in Jan's memory for the library doorway, and the books will be enjoyed by Potosi readers for many years to come! #PotosiPride

Congratulations to Madalyn Weber - 2025 WFSCA All-Star! Madalyn has been selected to play for the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association Senior All-Star team. Playing in the All-Star game is a dream come true for Madalyn, and being selected is a huge accomplishment. The All-Star game is June 17, 2025, at Woodside Sports Complex in Wisconsin Dells. As part of playing in the WFSCA team, players need to raise a minimum of $400 that will be going to Special Olympics Wisconsin, who provide sports training and competition for nearly 10,000 athletes with cognitive disabilities in 18 different sports. If you would like to donate and help her reach the goal of a minimum of $400 the link is: https://wfsca.sportngin.com/register/form/600447028. Cash and/or checks can be dropped off at the high school or given to Madalyn or Coach Kerkhoff. Checks may be made payable to WFSCA.
