Good Morning, Potosi Schools will be closed today, February 9th. A reminder that MS & HS students should check their email and schoology for virtual assignments. Teachers will be available by email to answer questions during the day.

We are studying Ancient Greece in Sophomore World History and were learning about the origin of our Modern Olympics in Ancient Greece. We held a few mini-Olympic events. Instead of throwing Javelins as they did in Ancient Greece, so we made paper airplanes to throw. Instead of actual wrestling, we had Thumb Wars. We also did a high jump too. Teams were formed and contests were held with winning students advancing in the bracket to the finals!

Today in 3rd grade, Myles' dad came in for Myles' Star Student week to tell us about his job. He gave us each a hat, and we learned that in his job, he has to use science, reading, math, and just about every class that we have in school! Thanks for coming in today and for the cool hats, Mr. David!

Payton Steiner (4th grade) became ill with Influenza A this past December........normal kid stuff! What wasn’t normal was how Payton’s body reacted to it. Since then she has had multiple hospital stays at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison. Throughout her Journey, Payton has finally been diagnosed with Autoimmune Encephalitis. Every day, her family is learning how to best support her, with the diagnosis, and remain confident in her continuing fight! If you would like to support her, friends of the family have helped to create t-shirts with Payton’s personal touch with monies going directly to her ongoing medical care. More importantly, seeing these out and about will remind Payton she does not continue her fight alone, there is a wonderful community around her that we all call home. Weekly events for Potosi High School - Week of February 6-10

This week is #NationalSchoolCounselingWeek ! Please give a shout out to our middle school/high school counselor Mrs. Sara Davis for all she does for kids!

The junior class is doing a fundraiser from February 2nd to February 13th. There will be a jar of Hershey Kisses in the middle/high office for this year's prom fundraiser! It is a dollar per guess and you can guess as many times as you'd like. Stop in the office and try to win the whole jar! Just a reminder add your full name to the paper with your guess!

While we are all excited for the return of Mrs. Boneske from maternity leave, a HUGE THANK YOU to Ms. Fallon for filling in and being so flexible. We were treated today with a concert from a band that she regularly performs in. It was a special end to our day!

Potosi Schools will be running on a two-hour delay tomorrow, February 3rd. Classes will begin at 10 AM.
