We are a 'Community of Character' at Potosi School District! We are extremely grateful for our community and neighboring communities who help support the growth of our character and well-being. Our second graders recently received the 'Eight Keys To A Better Me' character book from the following generous donors: Myers Heating and Cooling (Chris Myers), Larson Funeral Homes (Troy Larson), The Dental Office (formerly Farmer's Family Dental), Grant Regional Health Center (Rochelle Williams), and American Family Insurance (David Birkett, Agent).

Potosi Elementary Students who achieved their first quarter Accelerated Reader goals were treated to cupcakes, ice cream, and a readers theatre based on the Big Foot Boy books series by J. Torres. PHS Seniors Gavin Wunderlin, Kadin Walsh, Wynne Siegert, and Wyatt Udelhofen joined Mary Hawes in putting this together. #PotosiPride

Some of our middle and high school Peer Leaders had the opportunity to participate in CESA 3's annual Teen Conference at Southwest Technical College. Students had the opportunity to learn about leadership, persistence, growth mindset, self-awareness, and coping strategies...all while having fun! Adults from the area who attended the conference shared that our students were awesome participants in the day- so kind, engaged, and positive! #PotosiPride #CESA3

The AP Environmental science students recently took a field trip to visit a local restored prairie on Richard Graef's property. Richard shared a wealth of information about prairie restoration, seed collection, controlled burning, the history of the prairie, and the interdependence of prairie plants with insects, birds, and mammals. Not to mention, he allowed us to collect some seeds for our future school and Driftless Park prairies. Thanks again, Richard!
