The Potosi Environmental Club is selling Bat Houses and Wren Houses this year for a fundraiser. Kadin Walsh, Austin White, and Wyatt Udelhofen have been hard at work putting these together in their shop class. Thanks guys! Also, each house will have the Potosi Environmental Club logo placed on it. Each logo was designed by our very own Sydney Recker. Thanks Sydney!
The bat houses are spray painted black to keep their house at a warmer temperature, and are made from plywood. Each house has 3 small chambers. Bats have had a hard go of it for many years now, and we wanted to do our part to help them out. Bats in Wisconsin eat insects, and can eat over 1000 insects in one night! Talk about keeping the mosquito population down.
We are also selling Wren Houses made from cedar. Wrens are great little birds to have around. They are fun to listen to and watch, as they are very active in their search for insects. House Wrens migrate from the Southern U.S. and Mexico each year, and would love to make a home in your yard!

You will get an informational flier with the purchase of the house you buy. This is a first come, first serve deal. We have 14 bat houses to sell and 14 wren houses to sell. All proceeds will go towards Environmental Club projects and field trips.

The 6th grade social studies class enjoyed a visit from Mr. Ray as he shared his personal experiences with Kabuki theater to enhance their recent study of Ancient Japan. They learned that Kabuki make-up is an art form in itself!

Mrs. Uppena's class had a fun day today! They learned how to play the game Poison, read the myth of Cupid and Psyche, played Left Right Center, figured out some Emoji Valentine Sayings, played a Left/Right Story game with Mrs. Luann Droessler, had treats, passed out and read our Valentines, and had a fun day with our friends! This week our elementary students celebrated the 100th day of school (and Choose Love Awareness Month), to solve a duck mystery. 100 ducks were lost in their classrooms. Students successfully worked together to return ALL 100 of the missing ducks to The Duck Pond! #AmazingTeamwork

The FCA had Comparison Games where members of each team had to find someone who could beat them at various physical and mental challenges such as... Who can jump higher? or Who can list more Wisconsin counties than you? This led into a lesson on not comparing ourselves to other people & using the gifts that we are each given!
