The Anatomy and Physiology class had the privilege of dissecting hog hearts today. Our main focus was in identifying the various heart structures: right atrium, right ventricle, left ventricle, left atrium, vena cava, aorta, tricuspid valve, aortic valve, pulmonary valve, and the bicuspid valve. We also worked on describing the flow of blood through the heart.

Elementary students kicked off Reading Across America Week with “A Wocket in My Pocket” by Dr. Seuss. To challenge their existing knowledge of rhythm, beat, and tempo, students were tasked with rapping the book (Mr. Morley and Mr. Ray also gave it a shot!)
