On Saturday, October 5th, Dress Campaign will be coming to Potosi High School from Noon-3pm. Dress Campaign’s mission is to provide teens with lightly loved homecoming dresses at no cost to you. This event is full of fun while supplying dresses for teens and supporting sustainable fashion so that everyone has the opportunity to own a dance dress. This past week the AP Environmental Science class was able to visit two local streams, the Rockville Rd Branch and Potosi Creek, to do some macroinvertebrate diversity testing, using a dip net and a couple kick nets. We are happy to report that both streams have a variety of organisms living in them, are in beautiful settings, and have crystal clear water. It's fun to see the diversity of life in your own backyard! Special thanks to Richard Graef for letting us sample the Rockville Rd Branch on his property.

Potosi School District has an immediate need for a special education teaching assistant. This will be a full-time position with benefits. Rate of pay is $20.83 per hour, and increases to $21.85 after 60 days. If interested, please send your resume and district application to Christa Abell, district secretary as soon as possible. Preferred candidates will have experience working with special needs and possess a 2-year associate degree, though not required. We will provide necessary training for the right person who has a willingness to learn and shows patience and compassion for students with special needs.
