EIGHT(8) days left till "Butterfinger"! There are 21 cast and 8 crew members working very hard to bring you a visually fun and hilarious production. Of the 13 scenes, there are TEN (10) scene changes, so everybody backstage is working hard to bring you the island resort, the police station, the Walla Walla Candy Factory, the office, the situation room, a living room, and more! Come check it out on March 29th-30th at the Livens Auditorium!

Congratulations to all the students that traveled to Blackhawk HS on Wednesday to compete in the Six Rivers Math Contest!

TEN DAYS until "Butterfinger" hits the stage! Come & see the high school spring play at a short teaser 30-minute performance on March 28th (12:15 or 12:55 pm) or the full production on Saturday night, March 29th at 7 p.m. or Sunday afternoon, March 30th at 2 p.m. at the Keith C. Livens Auditorium!

The sixth graders concluded their study of Japan with a visit from Bill Uppena, who served in the Army and was stationed on Honshu in the 1960s. Bill showed slides and talked about the geography and culture of Japan, and the students enjoyed making connections to the things they had studied!

Lots of festivities going on today at Potosi on Friday, March 14th with Pi Day and another successful school store. Congrats to our store winners for picking the green "pi" in the drawing and winning a cake and some cupcakes to take home. Rylynn Saar in 7th grade and Dakota Ward in 3rd grade were the lucky winners!!

There was a packed house at Jill Wunderlin and Tiffany Helmke's session to share our district's journey in supporting students with neurodiversity at the Wisconsin School Psychologist Conference earlier this week. Our journey began approximately 8 years ago when the district was awarded an ES3 grant through DPI. The state-wide ES3 coordinator (who coached the district throughout the grant cycle) attended the session and shared that she was impressed by the movement of our district, and how we've continued to use the strategies that were learned, and continued to build our knowledge and ways to support our students following the grant.

Our middle schoolers had an exciting day in La Crosse yesterday as they competed in the National History Day competition! 🎉 We are thrilled to announce that two groups will be advancing to the state competition in Madison, with one additional group named as an alternate. A huge congratulations to these students for their hard work, dedication, and impressive projects! We are so proud of all who participated in NHD this year. Our 4th and 5th graders put their reading skills to the test and battled it out at Lit Wars at CESA 3 last week! 📚💪 They showed incredible teamwork, knowledge, and determination—and we’re so proud to share that we even brought home a first-place victory! 🎉👏A huge congratulations to all our students who participated. Potosi Elementary focuses on a different character trait each month. February's trait was HONESTY. These students showed exceptional character in school and therefore were treated to pizza with Mr. Uppena! Congratulations to all the winners!

With the new month, we would like to remind you about collecting receipts that include box top eligible items. It is much easier now for us to send in our earnings for the school as it is all digital! (No more of the days of cutting out cereal boxes!) Please see the flyer attached with information on how to download the app (easiest way is to use your phone's camera to scan the QR Code in the corner, or look up 'Box Tops for Education' in your app store.) If you are having issues with the app or trying to get receipts to scan please your receipts to school and have them sent to the school's library.
