Potosi-Cassville Youth Rec Update
3rd thru 8th Grade Baseball and Softball
The Tri-County Youth Rec League had a meeting on Sunday, May 3rd. We have decided to wait until May 26th to have another meeting in hopes to know more about our season or if there will be a season. Our main concern is for the children, people attending the games, and their safety.
What we do know:
The school grounds for Potosi are shut down until June 30th. So, the earliest we would be able to play or practice is July 1st.
We are going to be returning your checks to void out. (If you do not get a returned check in the next couple of weeks please email me at: tleibfried@cassvillesd.k12.wi.us)
If we have a season in July, we will only charge what it will take to run the program for the shortened season. I don’t know this figure yet.
Nothing has been ordered at this point so if a kid would need a jersey (if they didn’t have one from last year), we will figure that out at some point.
We also wanted to give you a chance to determine if you want your son or daughter to play if there is a season. That is why we are giving you the money back and then will re-register if a season does occur.
What we do NOT know:
If there will be a season or not - May 26th is our meeting (hopefully we will know more then.)
How many people can gather at one time, how many fans can be there, and how many games we will be able to get in a shortened season.
Thank you for your patience as we gather more information, in the hopes to get some games for the kids this summer. There are no guarantees that there will be a season, although we are trying our hardest to make sure we are prepared as if we will be able to play.
Potosi Tee-Ball
Kindergarten through 2nd Grade
Potosi Tee-Ball will be cancelled and your checks will be returned to you as well. I am hoping to be able to put something together at a different time. I will put out more information on that when I figure something out. It might be similar to Little Chieftains.
