Dear Potosi Middle and High School Families,
We are so excited for the school year to start! It’s been way too long since we’ve all been together in our classrooms!! As we are getting closer to school starting, here are a few things we wanted you to know.
A classroom supply list is attached. We understand that it may be difficult to find some of the items on our list. Please do not worry. Just purchase whatever you can for now. Click here to view the supply list.
As we did last year, each student will be assigned their own iPad or Chromebook to be used at school.
Please make sure your child brings a water bottle each day to school, as the water fountains will not be available for use.
If your child is bringing lunch from home please be sure to have an ice pack in their lunch if needed as the coolers will not be used this year for cold lunch storage.
Please make sure your child has a mask to wear in the classroom or ask your child’s teacher if you are unable to get one for your child. If you can, please add a box of disposable masks to your child’s school supply list.
Due to covid, we realize you may not want to send your child on the bus. However, if you plan to have your child ride the bus, please make sure to contact Jan Vaassen to make bussing arrangements. She can be reached at 608-778-3483 or email her at jan.vaassen@warcotransportation.com
Online registration is open. Please register your child as soon as possible though Skyward Family Access. You can pay any fees online via SchoolPay through August at no additional cost. If you have any questions about registering or how to pay online - please contact the school or district office.
We understand that with the start of the school year, there are going to be a lot of changes and things may look and/or seem a little different, but we are all committed to making this the best school year yet! Please note that more information on protocols and guidelines will be sent out as we are notified.
Sincerely,
Potosi Schools

Dear Potosi Elementary Families,
We are so excited for the school year to start!
Each student will be keeping his/her own supplies at their own desks, so please label everything to prevent mix-ups with other students.
Also, please note that there will not be microwaves available to warm items up.
Elementary students will be entering from the Elementary doors this year, where they will see Michelle in her new/old office!
As you are thinking of sending in special birthday or Star of the Week snacks, please plan for pre-packaged snacks. Unfortunately, we are avoiding homemade snacks this year.
Please make sure your child has a mask to wear in the classroom or ask your child’s teacher if you are unable to get one for your child. If you can, please add a box of disposable masks to your child’s school supply list.

One of the biggest changes that we have for the beginning of the year is how Open House will look. Each teacher will be setting a date for students to visit their classroom and drop off supplies. To help limit the number of people in the building, we will be scheduling individual times and asking that only the student comes in for that quick visit. We understand that it is disappointing that parents can’t visit the room during Open House, but teachers will be more than happy to visit with all parents outside of the building. We will send pictures/videos as often as we can to keep parents connected.
We understand that there are going to be a lot of changes and things may look and/or seem a little different, but we are all committed to making this the best school year yet! If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask your child’s teacher.
Sincerely,
Potosi Teachers

Potosi School District is a Fast Forward Grant Winner! This grant is to train students for advanced manufacturing fields and will help purchase several pieces of equipment for our Tech Ed Department. Shout-out to Mr. Dakota Bockenhauer, who facilitated acquiring the grant and will also implement the grant goals in his classroom! The equipment will help our students to be "workforce ready" after graduation. #PotosiPride
