Director of Pupil Services Samantha Huth and Superintendent Kurt Cohen had the opportunity to meet with UW-Platteville education students at the UWP Rural Schools Job Fair on Wednesday, April 15th. Along with conversations with future educators about student teaching opportunities in Potosi, Huth and Cohen were able to share with students openings for high school math, high school special education, and elementary teaching positions. Elementary students who achieved their Accelerated Reader goals for 3rd quarter participated in the "Spring Fling" rotations organized by the library staff. Classes rotated through bookmark decorating, snack making, sidewalk chalk art, an outdoor "Eye Spy" scavenger hunt, and parachute play in the gym. Mrs. Hawes and Mrs. Siegert were assisted by Mr. Cohen, Mrs. Riniker, and several high school students in leading the rotations!

MARCH Character Trait Winners
In response to declining civics education and participation, the Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation created Wisconsin Civics Games. By engaging young adults in a collaborative competition, as well as through coverage of civic affairs, Wisconsin newspapers aim to help cultivate an understanding among future generations of their role in our democracy. Congrats to our PHS team who worked hard and won 1 round of the competition!
