Potosi School District is a Fast Forward Grant Winner! This grant is to train students for advanced manufacturing fields and will help purchase several pieces of equipment for our Tech Ed Department. Shout-out to Mr. Dakota Bockenhauer, who facilitated acquiring the grant and will also implement the grant goals in his classroom! The equipment will help our students to be "workforce ready" after graduation. #PotosiPride

Students and Parents
First, let me thank you for the work you have put in to continue with your education during the closure of the school buildings and facilities. I know distance learning is not easy and has taken extra effort from students, families, and teaching staff to ensure that we could still cover necessary material during these last eleven weeks.
As we look to conclude the 2019-2020 school year, please use the information in this letter for some important dates moving forward.
Meal Distribution
We will continue meal distribution for any person 18-years old and younger on Monday June 1st, Monday June 8th, Monday June 15th, and Monday June 22nd. Pickup times will remain the same: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm and again from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm on those Mondays. Please continue to fill out the survey sent each week so that we have an approximate number of meals needed each Monday.
Materials Return
We will collect all school materials on Monday, June 15th. This includes any books, chromebooks, and I-Pads. If families are unable to return materials on June 15th, please contact the school to set up an alternate drop off time.
Graduation Ceremony for Class of 2020
While we have been able to celebrate our graduating seniors with a parade and social media postings, we have always planned to have a graduation ceremony to recognize the accomplishments of our seniors. Unfortunately, at this point, we are still unsure what guidelines and recommendations will be in place as we move through the summer months. With that uncertainty still hanging over us, we did want to schedule some dates for a ceremony so that families can pencil them onto their calendars. While we don’t know if the ceremony will be in the auditorium or outside (football field or parking lot) or the social distancing guidelines we will have to follow at the ceremony, please mark off these dates.
Friday, July 17th at 6:00 pm (Rain date on Saturday, July 18th at 11:00 am)
Friday, August 7th at 6:00 pm (Rain date on Saturday, August 8th at 11:00 am)
We will plan for the July date until we are told that we will still not be allowed to meet face-to-face at that time. If this is the case, we will then move to the August date. Rain dates will be used only if the ceremony is needed to be held outside.
As always, please contact us if you have any questions and we will continue to provide you any information as we get it.
