Gaming has exploded in the recent decade especially at the end of the decade with COVID-19. New people coming into the gaming culture need to decide what game to play first, which is a hard decision as there are so many to choose from. These people are likely to choose the games that are trending as they’re popular at the time. One of these trendy games is Call of Duty: Warzone which I believe is a game that everyone who is new to gaming should play.
Warzone puts the most popular first person shooter of all time, Call of Duty, into a battle royale which worked out great for Activision and Infinity Ward, who developed the game, as it has become the most popular battle royale in the last two years. At first new players will think that it’s just like every other battle royal but they would be wrong as it actually takes strategy and skill. You have to know the ins and outs of the game in order to become a consistent winner in Warzone. This doesn’t mean you can’t have fun in the game because you can still mess around with your friends. You can try fun challenges like trying to win with just a vehicle or try to win with pistols. There are so many ways to have fun in Warzone and it’s different for everyone.
Fun challenges are a good way for the casual players to get involved in the game and have fun. These challenges include random loadouts, vehicles only, worst weapons, snipers only, and many others. Players can also create their own fun by annoying a player and being a nuisance. They can also go for crazy trickshots and when people hit those shots they go crazy with excitement as they can’t believe they actually did it. All of these challenges make it fun for players that aren’t particularly the best at the game but love playing it. Sometimes it can be embarrassing and frustrating for better and more skilled players when they get killed by these casual players as those players are normally just messing around. Most of the time the more skilled players will dominate the casual players because they know the game better, have a better strategy, and they’re just flat out better.
Having fun in Warzone isn’t just about fun challenges but winning too. Most of the player base in the game is pretty balanced between casual and skilled players but since people learn the game very quickly there is an increase in skilled players as time goes on. This means the game will continue to keep getting harder and harder as time goes on. More skilled players means better competition for the other skilled players and veterans of the game. This makes it more satisfying for these players when they take down another opponent of the same skill.
The combination of two types of players, skilled and casual, makes the warzone culture and community perfect for new players to the game. They can come in inexperienced, learn, and have fun in the game with endless playability to it. Warzone is a game to play with your friends or solo; either way you’ll enjoy it and have fun.
I have had fun in Warzone by doing fun challenges not just by myself, but with some of my friends too. We have done the random loadout challenge and had some interesting ones that turned out to be really fun. We also just try and play the game to win, but we try and have fun along the way. One time my friends and I tried to eliminate people with the helicopter which was fun because one of my friends got shot out of the helicopter. We all started freaking out and one of my other friends who was driving the helicopter lost control of it. We swerved all over the place, up, down, side to side, getting dizzy just looking at our screens, but by the time he got control of the helicopter it was too late. We crashed right into a building, eliminating our whole squad which ended up placing very low because it happened early in the game. We all sat there dumbfounded, but it wasn’t five seconds later when we burst out laughing and cracked jokes. This is just one of the fun moments in Warzone that make it one of my favorites to play.
