From the courts to the diamond, K Show Time's athletic journey is fueled by passion, competitive spirit, and a nickname as dynamic as his game. Born in September 2007 in Dubuque, IA, Kolton Vogelsberg experienced an ordinary family life for the first eight years. After that, his father was no longer part of his life, a shift that shaped him in unexpected ways.

When asked how this affected him, Kolton reflected, “It was just an adjustment I had to make,” but for others, it's a huge part of their lives. Despite the change, Kolton stayed with his mother and his little brother, Ryder, whom he kept close to him. Kolton grew up in a small village located in southwest Wisconsin near the Mississippi River - Potosi, WI - where he spent his whole childhood and teenage years attending school. He loved it there: no other place in the world Kolton would move to, “Because this is home.”

Growing up, Kolton loved playing sports. There was a natural desire growing up where everyone around him played sports, even his friend group, so it left a mark on Kolton. He played basketball, football, and baseball, and was extremely good at every single one, but as he got older, he understood that he couldn’t hold on to every single one forever. Kolton quit football due to a bad knee injury during his junior year of high school. He wouldn't have been able to play the sport anymore.

Kolton was disappointed, sad, but he knew he had to move on. Kolton then turned to baseball to help cope . Kolton had first picked up a baseball as a child in California with his cousin. Kolton was inspired by his cousin’s talent, but mainly by his friends, who would always be together playing any sport they could.

Kolton tried baseball his freshman year, not knowing this would eventually change his perspective on sports. Kolton started taking it more seriously and realized his summers, where most people would have fun and hang out, became mostly about baseball.

During the past three summers, Kolton started to realize that this was his sport. His summers started to turn into baseball, and his passion for baseball was growing. After all his traveling to tournaments, he finally found his passion in a sport. Kolton stated, “I feel like I can put the time in and it is actually working out, the practice being worth it and being able to perform well out in front of people who support me.” Kolton was given a new nickname by his teammates - K Show Time - due to his performance when stepping on the diamond.

Kolton was asked what his goals were. He told us, “My goal is to win player of the year, while giving it all I have.” He was asked how he planned to achieve this. “I will practice hard every day to get to where I want to be, until I'm satisfied.” The last two questions asked to K Show Time: what would you tell someone who feels like giving up, and what’s one quote you live by? “It always seems impossible, until it's done and finished, and to never give up, no matter the cost, the debt will be paid off.”
