Kadin Walsh started out college at UW-Stout in Menomonie, WI right after he graduated from high school. He didn't like it at all because of being far from home and not knowing many people there. He didn't like how the kids were all boring and not talkative. “The biggest reason why I transferred to Platteville was because I didn't really like the school up there, and I liked how Platteville is a lot closer to home.” He transferred after his first semester and is now much closer to home at UW-Platteville.
Kadin is enjoying his experience at Platteville because he knows a bunch of the kids that go there from high school sports, and loves hanging out with them. There are a lot of fun things to do around Platteville. “While I was attending college at Stout, I did not have a job, but I would like to have one by next school year, since I know how college is now.” The hardest challenge that Kadin had to face was getting used to a new school again. “It wasn't that bad though, since I know almost everybody there, or at least have seen them.”
Kadin’s major is still the same, which is construction management, and his plans after graduation are to work for a commercial construction company as a project manager. He looks forward to the next three years of his college experience.
