Multicultural Foods

In today's culturally diverse population there is a need for students to respect and appreciate diversity. The first step to achieve this is to develop an understanding of diversity in groups of people.  One of the most enjoyable ways to develop understanding is to be exposed to foods and food customs of a variety of cultures. To achieve this understanding we will be studying cultures that are different from our region with in the United States.  Because food choices are among the first cultural elements to be accepted by other cultures, the study of foods can help further our appreciation of cultural diversity.
